A young girl named Lyra Belaqua lives in Oxford, England. The children there have been mysterously desappearing.
When Lyra's best frend Roger disappears Lyra decides to go North to find him. She finds herself in a terrible and dangerous adventure. This is the first part of His Dark Materials, the trilogy by Philip Pullman.
